Saturday, January 16, 2010 Dynamic Vertical Solutions (DVS) has been selected to set up its Retail Centre of Excellence in India by LS Retail. The Retail Centre of Excellence is an initiative to provide retailers of all sizes insights into usage and application of technologies in the retail industry and would showcase an end-to-end solution roadmap for the retail industry.

Microsoft India, the Indian subsidiary office of Microsoft Redmond, has given its support to this initiative. DVS works closely with Microsoft as one of its principal partners. It will look to support Microsoft Dynamics Partners in India and across the globe to penetrate and support the Indian retail market.

Through the newly created centre, DVS will deliver business value to retailers seeking to improve their bottom line profitability. The centre will provide a platform for the country’s retail organisations to exchange ideas, develop concepts and showcase scalable retail solutions to the Indian market. Its focus will be catering to the business and operational needs of retailers demonstrating how technology can streamline and improve business performance.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakhee Nagpal, founder and managing director, DVS, said, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the LS Retail Management for choosing DVS as its Retail Centre of Excellence in India. Our appointment only reiterates DVS’ tradition of excellence and commitment to customer satisfaction.”

Rajan Anandan, managing director, Microsoft India, added, “The Retail Centre of Excellence will act as a facilitator for the retail industry, in its quest for achieving competitive advantage in the market place. Microsoft is delighted to be a partner in fuelling the passion for excellence and growth of the dynamic retail industry in India.”

The Retail Centre of Excellence will be fully operational to go live in the first quarter of the next financial year (April-June 2010).
