AirLive Announce 5.8GHz Wireless Outdoor Devices

Monday, February 08, 2010 AirLive, one of the most advanced worldwide brands for networking and communication equipments, is set to capture the India wireless market share with its comprehensive next generation 5.8GHz wireless outdoor series. The series includes both last mile equipment such as AirMax Duo - a dual radio outdoor base station - and high performing consumer premises equipment such as AirMax5 and WHA-5500CPE. The core of the series is the 108Mbps radio that is capable to run in both Turbo and Super A mode. With up to 28dBm in total output power using only integrated antennas, they are some of the most powerful 5.8GHz devices currently available in the market. AirLive 5.8GHz series are loaded with AirLive original AirLogic OS that emphasis on stability and better operating experience for a faster and easier installation.

“The Indian wireless market is experiencing massive changes and with the de-licensing of the 5.8GHz channel in 2009, it open up a new level of growth.




As the 5.8GHz band is relatively interferences free, service provides can now install a more efficient and cost effective outdoor wireless solutions. We selected 2 of our best selling 802.11a CPE to introduce to the India market as we are confident will be well accepted by the local market,” said Beesha Lin, Director for Business Division.

We have the technical expertise to write advance CPE firmware that are specially designed for ISPs,” explained Marketing Manager for Asia, William Ko. “We include advance features such as Polling function for efficient transmission in a multi-point installation, Pure MAC bridge connection for faster throughput and lock-to-AP for an always on connection. Rarely will you get all these advanced functions in a single firmware. And to top it off, we are offering free software upgrade for all our CPEs so that our customers can continue to enjoy new functionalities on their devices.”

Other features include multiple operating mode, durable and weatherproof housing, double mounting system, antenna alignment LED, site and signal survey and advanced passive PoE that allows up to 100m always from power source.
