Shadow-Soft, the leading open source software (OSS) sales and consulting company, and Terracotta, a recognized leader in infrastructure software for enterprise application performance and scalability, today announced a new partnership to provide enterprises with an open source solution that maximizes data scalability and application performance.

Under the partnership, Shadow-Soft will integrate Terracotta’s Ehcache within its overall open source solutions, providing customers with the easiest and most cost effective way to achieve snap-in speed and on-demand, unlimited scale out for their Java enterprise applications .
“This strategic partnership between Shadow-Soft and Terracotta combines the experience and expertise of Shadow-Soft’s end- to-end enterprise open source solution and consulting practices with Terracotta’s ubiquitous Ehcache technology,” said Gary Nakamura, vice-president of sales for Terracotta. “The partnership will help meet the growing demand for Terracotta’s Ehcache solution and provides a simple pathway for building and deploying mission-critical applications on affordable and highly scalable Java infrastructures.”
Terracotta significantly lowers the operational and capital costs required to support applications where reliability and scalability are key concerns, including those built with popular open source frameworks like Ehcache, Spring and Hibernate. By managing frequently-accessed data in the Terracotta server-array, customers no longer need to provision databases for peak load and as a result, can drive large cost savings for their organizations while delivering a higher quality of service to their end users.
