Executives can now book tickets on-the-go easily. Yatra.com and Sony Ericsson have come together to launch a new mobile phone application, called ‘Travel Buddy’, which will allow Sony Ericsson Xperia users to book tickets anytime, anywhere. An easy-to-use application, Travel Buddy is claimed to be the perfect companion for those who are on the move, and constantly on the lookout for the best travel deals. Users will be able to book tickets and make payments instantly through a secure connection.

The built-in application provides essential travel information such as flight search, seat confirmation, itinerary review, passenger information, secure payment and booking confirmation. Also, as a regular user of the application, one can save a master passenger list of up to 20 people and even store the details of five cards that are used for payments on mobile. Thus, the customer doesn’t have to enter the passenger or card details every time he makes a new booking.
While the application is pre-installed in the new Sony Ericsson mobile handsets,Yatra.com and Sony Ericsson are also offering an introductory discount of Rs 100 on every booking made through the Travel Buddy.
Speaking on the alliance, Pratik Mazumder, head, marketing and strategic relations, Yatra.com, said, “With Yatra’s partnership with Sony Ericsson, we offer this innovative application to the customers that will swiftly book their flight ticket with considerable ease.”
According to Anurag Kontu, marketing head, Sony Ericsson, “While this application is currently available on the new batch of Sony Ericsson X10, we will also provide our current X10 users a link to download this application.”
