EC Media International Private Limited, a leader in digital-content combine in India reiterated their position as pioneers with the announcement of regional content now available to Wink’s eReaders.
Amidst the literary world at the Delhi Book Fair, EC Media presented a compilation of 1000 Hindi booksacross genre and titles.

At a glittering ceremony hosted by EC media, Mr. Ravi DeeCee, Founder and Director, DC Group, welcomed the Honorable, Shri Vayalar Ravi,Cabinet Minister, to launch this initiative. With classics in Hindi literature penned by Shri Munshi Premchand to children’s books, from the Ramayana to the Mahabharata epics; make up some of the exciting genre’s launched in the digital space today. Children, particularly, will experience colorful graphics, pictures, animations, sounds and audio/read back features.
Commemorating the foray into regional content, EC Media announced a short story writing contest ‘My Wink, My Words’. This contest is aimed at encouraging the young and aspiring writers/budding authors of Hindi literature to contribute to keep alive Hindi literature and make it interesting and exciting for today’s young generation. The Hindi content was demonstrated at the event alongwith MagsonWink, an eReadermagazine application in India. The MagsonWink was recently launched withabout 25 of India’s leading magazines including OPEN, Tehelka, etc. and many regional language magazines available to download. The new eReader application has been specifically designed for iPad, Blackberry and Android gadget users all over the world and supports content in 15 Indian languages. Contents from the most recent editions of leading Indian magazines were demonstrated to the audience at the launch event. Taking this ahead, EC Media International plans to include integration of over 150 Indian newspapers and magazines on MagsonWink application by mid-2011.
EC Media International, in August 2010, also launched www.thewinkstore.com India’s first comprehensive reading platform which currently has 350,000 books including titles from fifteen Indian languages.
