Lenovo has cut down the price of its IdeaPad K1 tablet in India. The 32GB 3G/Wi-Fi version of the tablet is now available for as low as INR 22,724 on online shopping site, Flipkart. What is even stranger is the fact that even the Wi-Fi only version is listed under the same price on the website. The tablet was launched in October last year at a price tag of Rs 29,500 for Wi-Fi only and Rs 33,990 for Wi-Fi plus 3G version.

The tablet comes pre-loaded with Honeycomb aka Android 3.1 but the company has promised upgrading the device to Ice Cream Sandwich aka Android 4.0, which will be rolled out as an over the air update (OTA) sometime this year.
The key specifications of the device reveals: Android v3.1 (Honeycomb); 23.4-cm (10.1-inch) HD LED multitouch display; NVIDIA Tegra 2 T20 1 GHz dual-core processor; 5MP rear and 2MP front camera; Wi-Fi/ 3G; Expandable Storage via microSD card.
As per fresh reports, Google Nexus 7 will be launched in India around October this year, which is just three months away. Moreover, the much-awaited tablet is expected to come at a price of Rs 11,000, which will give tough competition to other low cost models existing in the market.
