Micromax Canvas HD Vs Lava Iris 504Q

Both the phones sport HD display, run Android 4.2 version but is Iris 504Q the best option for Canvas HD? We find out.

Ever since Micromax launched its Canvas HD, the 'first-ever quad-core' smartphone in the country earlier this year, many brands have followed suit and introduced devices that could be compared with Canvas HD but not a direct competition in some aspects.

The likes of Xolo, Karbonn and WickedLeak have tried their bit and now another India-based brand, Lava International will be looking to compete with Canvas HD with its recently launched Iris 504Q smartphone. Canvas HD being the benchmark for most of these companies, it is important that Lava gets the right balance with hardware, pricing other features that get packaged with an affordable smartphone.

The 504Q as we can see below is at par with the Canvas HD but will be interesting to see whether Lava takes the Micromax route and goes for the marketing juggernaut.

Let's have a look at how Lava 504Q compares with Micromax Canvas HD.

Brand

So, the phone is definitely up there with Canvas HD and besides some small differences (front camera and Android version), there is not much to separate between the two. However, Iris 504Q is priced at Rs 13,499 while Canvas HD is available for around 14,999 in the market and this may tilt the balance in favour of Iris 504Q.
