Just a year back, there were few Android-based tablets available in the Indian market. Now it's raining tablets in India and Android seems to be the flavour of the day. Topping the chart is the newly released Motorola XOOM. Packed with Android V3.1 Honeycomb OS, the XOOM will soon be getting the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich update. It features 1 GHz dual core processor, a 5 megapixels primary camera and a 2 megapixels secondary camera. It comes equipped with a big 25.6 cms touchscreen display, HD recording, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

Toshiba Thrive

Another recommended device in the market is the Toshiba Thrive. The device runs Android 3.1 and packs 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core mobile processor with GeForce graphics. The other key features include 25.6 cms LED-backlit capacitive multi-touch display, pre-loaded PrinterShare app, GPS, gyroscope and ambient light sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

The next device in the line is Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The vital statistics of this device include 25.6 cms TFT LCD touchscreen, a 3 megapixels primary along with a 2 megapixels secondary camera. Powered with 1 GHz dual core ARM cortex A9 processor, HD recording and Wi-Fi, the Galaxy Tab runs Android V3.1 Honeycomb OS.

Asus TF101 Transformer

The Asus TF101 Transformer runs the advanced version of Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and packs a 25.6 cms LED backlight multi touch display. Lenovo IdeaPad

The Lenovo IdeaPad again  boasts of the advanced Android v3.1 Honeycomb OS. The Lenovo IdeaPad packs a powerful Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 1 GHz dual core processor, 25.6 cms HD LED multi touch display, Wi-Fi, document editor and 3G. It comes equipped with a 5 megapixels primary and a 2 megapixels secondary camera.

Acer Iconia A500


Acer has recently announced its Iconia series tablets in the market. One of the devices in this series, Acer Iconia A500 comes with Android V3.0 OS flavour. The key features of A500 include a 25.6 cms TFT touchscreen, 5 megapixels primary and a 2 megapixels secondary camera. The Wi-Fi enabled device packs 1 GHz dual core processor.

HTC Flyer

The HTC Flyer is now available in the market but this device comes with the older Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Notion Ink Adam
India-based Notion Ink has recently been in news for its much hyped Adam tablet. It has now been released and the Adam runs Android V2.2 Froyo OS, 25.6 cms display screen and 3.2 megapixels swivel camera. Powered with 1 GHz ARM cortex A-9 dual core processor, it boasts of innovative sunlight readable low-power display.

Olive Pad

The Olive Pad is the oldest of the lot and it comes with decent features to match its budget price tag. Powered by Android 2.2 Froyo OS, it displays a 17.8 cms TFT capacitive touchscreen, 3 megapixels primary and a 0.3 megapixels secondary camera. The device packs a 600 MHz ARM11 processor, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

Milagrow TabTop

One of the most recent entrants, the Milagrow TabTop is a Gingerbread-based device which supports a Rockchip 2918 ARM cortex A8 1.2 GHz processor. This TabTop features a 20.3 cms LED capacitive multi touch display, 0.3 megapixels primary and a 2 megapixels secondary camera. The Edge enabled device offers full HD recording.

HeyI bought new Penta T-Pad 703C today.. and it has amazing battery backup its 7 capacitive Touch you wouldnt want to take your fingers off.It came preinstalled with Skype & MSN messenger. Ive watched many videos in full HD mode via HDMI facility.. Its just too good guys just go for itt RUSHH

Hi. Recently i have been hearing a lot about this Xtab A10 which is the cheapest 5 point capacitive 1.5 GHz HDMI USB Android 4.0 tablet @ Rs 5490 launched by NXG Electronics. Can you please suggest me whether or not I should book this tablet for me as I am really new to this tablet world.
