Intex's Slimmest 7-Inch Tablet i-Buddy

Intex Technologies has brought a new offering in the 17.8-cm (7-inch) tablet domain called Intex i-Buddy. The company claims that it is the slimmest tablet in this size in India. It is 9mm thick and is touted as an infotainment device. The company is offering the second model in its tablet series in South India after the successful launch of its first 8-inch tablet - The INTEX i-Tab in March this year. The tablet runs Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS and is powered with 1 GHz processor. The model features five-point touch capacitive screen with a support flash of 11.1. This gives the user a smooth zoom-in and zoom-out experience. Supporting a DDRIII RAM of 512MB, the tablet gives you an option of expanding the memory upto 32GB via flash drives. Sporting 3G dongle support via a USB and front facing camera for easy video chatting via skype, the tablet comes with a host of multimedia functionality such as audio support, video support, preloaded games (Angry Birds Fruit Ninja etc), connecting though GPRS and Wi-Fi, access to social networking sites from Intex Zone, etc. The tablet is equipped with Office Suite for viewing and editing of documents without worrying about short battery life. With media usage, the back-up of i-Buddy is 3 hours. One of the notable features in the tablet is its Team viewer which allows you to control your PC remotely. Some of the other features are Google voice search, multi-language, ebook reader, dictionary, calculator, calendar and few free Android applications. As an introductory offer, Intex has bundled i-Buddy with an exclusive leather cover with attached keyboard. The MRP of this accessory is Rs. 2590 which is being provided to i-Buddy consumers at no extra cost.

SWIPE Telecom's Android-Based 3D Tablet

California-headquartered SWIPE Telecom has introduced a range of three tablet devices in India. Out of the three tablets launched, 3D LIFE looks the most interesting offering. The company claims that it is India's first 3D Tablet PC. Speaking to EFYTimes.com, Shripal Gandhi, founder and chief executive officer, SWIPE Telecom, said, "3D LIFE is targeted towards kids and youth as it provides a wonderful experience of 3D gaming and 3D videos." The tablets sports a 17.8-cm (7-inch) TFT five point touch capacitive screen packing 800X480 pixels. It runs Google's Android 4.03 Ice Cream Sandwich and an A13 Cortex processor on 1.5GHZ clock speed. It comes packed with 4GB internal memory and a 512 MB DD RAM. The tablet can play videos for 5-6 hours at stretch offers a large battery life with a 3400 mAH battery. 3D LIFE also boasts of a 2MP front camera that supports video calling.

Pantel Technologies Private Limited (PTPL) has launched their advanced Android Tablet PC named IS701C in the Indian market.
