BlackBerry Working On Concealable Keyboard Tablet?

BlackBerry's uncharted affection for keypads is not a secret to anyone. But in a recent development the company behind BlackBerry, Research In Motion (RIM) has let out a strange secret that signals its shift from keypads to keyboards! You might be confused here, thinking about keyboard being related to the PlayBook tablet. But, there is some thing more to it.



RIM is reported to have applied for a patent on a new tablet with concealable keyboard. The layout design shows a complete, hinge attached QWERTY keyboard packed beneath a back-mounted cover. The keyboard doubles as back-stand when a need for viewing videos arises, reported Ubergizmo. It might be an interesting concept for RIM to begin with but taking in account the company's unworthy share in the market, it does not seem a bright and prosperous idea to experiment.
