Review: Corsair SP 2500 2.1 Gaming Speakers
You can feel bullets flying past you! This gaming audio device is indeed jumbo, be it the size or the quality.
Corsair tip toed into the gaming audio industry with its SP 2500 2.1 speakers. And believe me, it has literally entered the market pretty loud! This device will surely be an eye candy for all PC gamers. The price might be a bit high for a majority of the Indian consumers, but at Rs 12,200, the SP 200 will give not give you any chance to regret! I played the Max Payne 3 on my system with the SP 2500 connected and it shut me off from the entire world with its crystalline audio clarity along with the powerful booms from its sub-woofer. The sound of a sniper rifle amazed me. Sometimes I would on purpose get defeated, just to hear the audio effect from this monstrous 2.1 speaker.

If price doesn't bother you, this speaker has no other issues apart from its bulky size. When I first got to see the box of the speaker, I was simply taken aback by the size. The box appeared more like that of CRT TV! This audio system is best suited for desktops as you will have to station it somewhere permanently at your home. Don't even think of carrying it along with your gaming laptop!
Well, gaming is just a part, the sound experience will force you to take interest in a third grade regional movie. This speaker turned my room into a custom DJ floor. Powerful booms, loud sound and everything shaking around you, this speaker can give it all. Enough of praise, now, let's have a close look at the SP 2500.

Assembly:
The SP 2500 consists of a huge sub-woofer (compared to other 2.1 options), two satellites, connector cables, AUX cable and a wired remote control. Setting up the audio system is pretty simple and idiot-proof! Connect the two satellites and remote to the sub-woofer, plug in the AUX cable into the remote and on the other end, simply connect your mobile phone or your PC and let the game begin. I connected my BlackBerry and tuned the speaker to 100 per cent volume level. Guess what? My BlackBerry smartphone alerted me to remove the output as the sound was huge!
Accessibility:
The speaker can be operated easily through wired remote that sports a 4.6-cm (1.8-inch) LCD display screen. You can change the equalizer settings along with ambiance. A headphone-out jack is also included in the remote that come very handy. I feel the wire of the remote could have been better and longer. Also, the quality of LCD screen is pathetic. But this will not interfere at all with the audio experience.

Verdict:
Corsair's SP 2500 232 watts 2.1 speaker is definitely worth buying. There's hardly anything you can actually complain about this speaker. As the company boasts of 100 per cent volume range, which means users will not have to suffer distorted sound or fear damaging the drivers. I tested this claim, and it passed easily. Be it dorm room parties, group movie plans or individual gaming, the SP 2500 will always keep it loud!
