Intex To Intro Aqua Wonder 2 Smartphone In April  
 
The company is planning to introduce a wide array of Android smartphones with powerful chipsets.

Thursday, April 04, 2013 Intex Technologies, which is present in the Indian smartphone segment with its Android-based devices available at affordable price points, is reportedly planning to introduce three quad-core smartphones in the next two months.

According to a report, the first device to be launched will be Aqua Wonder 2, that will be priced at sub Rs 10,000 price mark. "Intex will launch its first Android based quad core smartphone, the Intex Aqua Wonder 2 by April 15,” Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, general manager, mobile business, Intex Technologies was quoted as saying in the report.

“The other two quad-core handsets under the Aqua Series will be launched around April-end and mid-May respectively and these will be priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000,” Kalirona added.

In terms of hardware specs, the Intex Aqua Wonder 2 will sport a 11.4-cm (4.5-inch) qHD display and run Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean version. The phone will be powered by a 1 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, coupled with 512 MB RAM. It will come fitted with an 8 MP rear camera with dual Flash and 1.3 MP front-facing snapper.

The Wonder 2 will have an internal storage capacity of 2 GB, which will be expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Intex will be loading the Aqua Wonder 2 with a 1,800 mAh battery.

The company has further informed that the other two quad-core smartphones will be having a 12.7-cm (5-inch) display, however, the company has not divulged much in terms of specs of the devices.
