Sunday, April 07, 2013 B1 Free Archiver has announced its Android 0.6 version, which will now work with more number of formats, will have improved file navigation with external SD. In addition, this will now become more stable to handle files with non-Latin symbols in names.

Android, B1 Free Archiver, formats, 0.6 release, Android

This release offers all Android users the possibility to unpack archives practically of every possible format. Latest formats include cab, dab, gz/gzip, jar, iso, tar, tar.bz2/tbz/tbz2, tar.gz/tgz/tpz/taz, tar.lzma, tar.xz, tar.Z, xz, zipx and many others. Your Android smartphone or tablet will hardly get puzzled by any file format - B1 Free Archiver will unpack them all.

Non-Latin symbols in file names have practically no chances to impede the process of file extraction. Now users can call their files with a name in any language they like - be it Chinese, Japanese, Persian or Arabic - B1 Free Archiver 0.6 will handle it. B1 Archiver’s unique technology enables almost 100% recognition of non-Latin symbols, thus has no problems unpacking such archives.

B1 Free Archiver’s developers have done their best in order to improve file navigation on Android. External SD card, inserted in your smartphone won’t play hide-and-seek with you anymore. When using B1 Free Archiver to navigate files, you can always access external SD card easily by clicking the menu button and choosing “External SD card” from “Go to...” list. B1 Free Archiver will bring you right to your files on external SD.

Commenting on the release, Adam Bayers, project leader at B1 said, “B1 team spent long work days and sleepless nights bringing B1 Free Archiver closer to perfection. We have introduced several major improvements as well as numerous bug fixes. As a result, B1 Free Archiver for Android has become more stable and reliable. Whether working on another feature or adding new options to the work of archiver we always keep our user in mind. Therefore - and here I am talking without false modesty - we do manage to keep B1 simple and clear.

I want to say special big thanks to our users who always help us make B1 Archiver better. Actually, every user who encounters some error while using B1 Free Archiver can report it to us at once. You just hit the “Send” button - and we receive the error report right away. For other suggestions you can also use feedback form on our website. I assure you that we don’t gather any personal information and respect privacy of users.”
