Saturday, August 24, 2013 The Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 is now available on online shopping site Flipkart under the "Coming Soon" section, while it is already available on eBay India for sale at Rs. 20,490.

As evident, Canvas Doodle 2 is coming to the Indian market soon, the price and release date are yet to be disclosed by the company. However, the listing on Flipkart clearly indicates the correct specifications and press shots of the device. Alternatively, EBay India listing indicates that the Canvas Doodle 2 will be available for approximately Rs. 20,000.

Display
Canvas Doodle 2 features a massive display of 14.4-cm (5.7-inch) IPS with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. That means it’s good enough to read E-Books while on the go. Alternatively, the Galaxy Note 2 offers a 13.9-cm (5.5-inch) Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Canvas Doodle 2 is not announced officially hence would be difficult to comment on the quality of the display.

Design
It seems that the front side of the Doodle 2 looks like any normal Micromax device. Its ancestor was entirely different from Doodle 2. The new device will be created of polycarbonate plastic, but would be less shiny as indicated by the leaked press shots. On the other hand, Samsung seems to follow the same traditional design style-whether it is Galaxy 3 or Note 2, but devices are made of plastic.

Processor
The Canvas Doodle 2 features a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with undisclosed chipset. Apparently, it should be powered by MediaTek processor. The RAM is of 1GB and it has 16GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB. The internal structural design of Doodle 2 will be comparable to Canvas 4. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 runs on a 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 Exynos 4412 Quad core processor powered by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB

Camera
The Canvas Doodle 2 has a 12-mega pixel rear facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash that can record videos in Full HD format. The Galaxy Note 2 features an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash. There is also a 5MP camera on the front. The Note 2 can record videos in Full HD format. Though no details are available for Doodle 2, it would be tricky to comment upon any change in the Camera UI.

OS
The Doodle 2 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It’s possible that the UI is more like Canvas 4. Alternatively, Samsung makes use of its own home backed UI on the Android. There’s a likelihood of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in the coming days. It is alleged that Canvas Doodle 2 is likely to get the new version of Android from day one.

Battery, Stylus, and retail availability
The Canvas Doodle 2 is powered with a 2600mAh Li Ion battery, which should be enough to give you desired pleasure. Alternatively, the Note 2 features a 3100 mAh Li Ion battery and both handsets come with a working stylus. The Galaxy Note 2 is offered for Rs. 27,500 in India while the Canvas Doodle 2 is available for Rs.20,000.
