New Delhi: The Bangalore-based global quality IT solutions provider, Nous Infosystems, has achieved Maturity Level 5 rating on the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) R- SW/IPPD, v 1.1, Staged Representation. The rigorous assessment was based on SEI's CMMI Standard CMMI appraisal for method for process improvement.

The achievement makes Nous Infosystems join the elite brand of fewer than 210 organisations world wide that have achieved this benchmark as per the recent SEI data. Speaking on the occasion, Ajith Pillai, president and CEO, Nous Infosystems, said, "It is a matter of great pride for Nous. This is an additional feather in our cap on our 10th anniversary year."
"This ensures not only an improvement in our deliverables to our customers, but also our ability to stand tall as an organization that believes in learning and growing continuously. Kris Puthucode of SQC, who assessed the organisation, said, "NOUS is an organisation with a strong motivation to achieve excellence in quality. Particularly laudable among them is the ability to use the CMMI model and its practices effectively to suit the organisation's projects, and institutionalisation of best practices from CMMI. This includes concepts from the integrated software development practices which focuses on Integrated and 'well-gelled' teams developing software. Very few organisations implement and take advantage of the integrated teaming concepts which ensures inter group coordination and multi-disciplinary team cohesiveness. This ultimately results in better customer satisfaction."
