1.Corona SDK

Corona SDK allows software programmers to build mobile applications for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Corona lets developers use integrated Lua, layered on top of C++/OpenGL, to build graphic applications. The SDK does not charge per-app royalty or impose any branding requirement, and has a subscription-based purchase model.

3.Kendo UI

DHTMLX Touch is a free open source JavaScript library for building HTML5-based mobile web apps. It's not just a set of UI widgets, but a complete framework that allows you to create eye-catching, robust web applications that run on iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms.


Basic4android is a rapid application development tool for native Android applications. Basic4android includes a visual designer that simplifies the process of building user interfaces that target phones and tablets with different screen sizes. Compiled programs can be tested in AVD manager emulator or B4A Bridge, which is enables testing within a real phone.

6.Mono for Android

Mono for Android allows developing Android applications using Mono. There is an addin for MonoDevelop that allows building Mono for Android applications with MonoDevelop on Mac and Windows.

7.MoSync SDK

The open-source MoSync Software Development Kit (SDK) is a rich cross-platform mobile application development environment that makes it easy to develop apps for all major mobile platforms from a single code base. The SDK enables mobile developers to build and compile apps for up to nine different platforms at once, using C/C++ or HTML5/JavaScript, or a combination of both to create hybrid apps.

8.Sencha Touch

Sencha Touch, a high-performance HTML5 mobile application framework, is the cornerstone of the Sencha HTML5 platform. Built for enabling world-class user experiences, Sencha Touch is the only framework that enables developers to build powerful apps that work on iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, and more.


It enables software programmers to build applications for mobile devices using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, instead of device-specific languages such as Objective-C.


iUI is a framework consisting of a JavaScript library, CSS, and images for developing advanced mobile webapps.

Grammatical addendum - no need to include the term free if you're going to describe something as open-source. The free aspect is intrinsic of open-source.
