Have a date with Klaus Knopper, the 'no hard-disk guy', at LinuxAsia 2007.

Knopper is known as the man who can put a system to life without even touching its hard drive. And what makes his efforts notable is the fact that he is a one-man army. He has an infectious sense of humour which I noticed when I met him last year during Asia's biggest Linux event, LinuxAsia 2006.

He keeps his audience riveted to seats. His keynote delivered last year at LinuxAsia had inclusions of alien invasions and disappearance of computers as they will become wearable; given his working style, I remember Arnold Schwarzenegger's quote from the movie, Eraser, "I work alone. If anyone comes to you and claims that I sent them... (and pulls out a gun)." The only firearm that Knopper carries is Knoppix.
Knoppix is a well known live CD Linux distribution, which can boot your system without touching the hard drive, otherwise a must for other operating systems.
You can get face to face with Knopper at LinuxAsia 2007, Asia's premier Open Source conference and exposition, in New Delhi from 31 January to 2 February, 2007. The theme for the LinuxAsia 2007 convention will be innovations in the field of open source to help develop pro-poor technologies and thus bridge the digital divide.
Knopper is a sweet-to-talk man, and is a great speaker. I won't even move a muscle while listening to his energetic speech. This year, accompanied by his wife, Knopper will keynote on 'Linux for Blind'.
Don't miss a date with the man who has a diploma in electrical engineering from the Kaiserslautern University of Technology, has co-founded LinuxTag (a major European Linux expo) and has been a self-employed information technology consultant since 1998.
