Champions of the electronics industry recognised for their contribution. Awards presented across 26 product categories and 4 special categories.

New Delhi: EFY Enterprises Pvt Ltd (EFY Group), one of Asia's leading specialist technology media groups, has announced the winners of EFY Readers' Choice Awards 2007. The EFY Awards were given in 26 different product categories. EFY Group also announced 'Lifetime Achievement Award’, 'Electronics Man Of The Year' award, 'Electronics Organization Of The Year' award and 'Special Jury Award' to recognise excellence in contribution to the Indian electronics industry.

The coveted and eagerly awaited awards were presented at a gala event at Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi, on 2 February. Prithviraj Chavan, union minister of state in PMO, was the chief guest at the occasion.
According to Ramesh Chopra, editor and publisher, Electronics For You magazine, “EFY Awards have caught the imagination of the industry and are now well appreciated. The Awards is our way of recognising and rewarding the catalyst individuals and organisations which are enabling the digital world.”
For 2007, the winners in the 26 product categories are:

The 'Lifetime Achievement Award' for 2007 was conferred on Satish Kumar Kaura, chairman and CEO, Samtel. Dr C. Chandramouli, secretary, department of IT, government of Tamil Nadu, was adjudged the 'Electronics Man Of The Year'. Samsung India Electronics walked away with the 'Electronics Organization Of The Year' award.
This year, the 'Special Jury Award' was added to the list of special awards. For 2007, the award has been given to Dr D.K. Ghosh, vice chairman, Electronics & Computer Software Export Promotion Council, under the ministry of IT, Government of India.
