Friday, June 15, 2007:
Nivio has launched the world's first Windows-based online desktop. The service allows global access to a personal virtual desktop from any Internet connected device. Nivio will also provide a rich variety of services on demand to its subscribers which will include rental of software applications, access to a rich library of educational content and expandable storage to keep all your pictures, music and data.

According to Sachin Duggal, founder and CEO, Nivio, "Desktop stresses have always been a concern for all computer users. Loss of data, spam and virus attacks have taken peace out of our lives. I have always believed that the world would change if computing would be simple. Originally named myremoteworkstation, I dreamed of a desktop that was anywhere and nowhere; that was stress-free and fault-less. And Nivio was born."
The company also plans to raise $5 million to fuel expansion and growth within the next six months.
Iqbal Gandham, founder, Net4India, Net4domain, Phonewala and IP Clouds and chief business strategist, Nivio, avers, "The beta testing of Nivio has ensured us that the service has the potential of making it big in the industry. We aim at registering 1,00,000 trial users by the end of December 2007."

| Free online desktops with unlimited storage are coming out as well. www.cmyos.com is an example of a new one that runs on the open source platform eyeOS. It resembles a clean desktop interface similar to Apple's operating system |
