Monday, June 18, 2007 Agitar Software, an enterprise unit testing company, has announced the integration of AgitarOne with IBM Rational Build Forge software, which provides reliable, high-performance builds and streamlines software delivery throughout the development lifecycle. AgitarOne brings power and simplicity to Java unit testing.

The combination of AgitarOne and IBM Rational Build Forge will help IBM customers speed up development cycles. With the integration of AgitarOne, development teams using IBM Rational Build Forge can not only achieve reliable builds, but also automate the creation of regression tests, and run them routinely as part of every build— providing instant and actionable feedback on the quality of the build, and accelerating the development cycle by helping development teams detect and correct problems as they occur.

Vishnu Raned, country manager, Agitar Software (India) said, "IBM Rational offers the most comprehensive and compelling suite of software development tools, spanning the entire development lifecycle. This includes powerful tools that automate many of the traditional quality assurance activities such as GUI testing, functional testing, and load and stress testing."

"Our support for the IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform complements IBM's testing solutions with a powerful solution for developer testing, making it easier for quality assurance teams to do their work, since they can integrate and system test software modules that have been tested to really work," added Vishnu. "Customers have seen impressive business benefits from Agitar's solution, including reduction in the number of bugs getting to QA by up to 90 per cent. We believe that 85 per cent of IBM's customers would benefit from this offering."
