Thursday, August 30, 2007 Jataayu Software has integrated its popular mobile browser, wap stack and messaging technologies on Trolltech's Qtopia platform. Qtopia is a comprehensive application platform and user interface for Linux-based mobile devices. The announcement was made during the 2007 Linux Mobile Communications Conference organised in Beijing by the China Academy of Telecommunications Research from China Ministry of Information Industry and Trolltech.

Jataayu will be showcasing its popular mobile HTML browser -- jB5 -- and multimedia messaging client -- jMMS -- on the Qtopia platform. Jataayu will also be making available its mobile instant messaging client to be part of its Qtopia Mobile Linux Application suite.

"We are happy to see Jataayu's commitment to the Qtopia Technology and Business Partner programme. We believe that Jataayu's acknowledged mobile application suite and system integration services will help our OEM and ODM licencees to create better products with Qtopia," said David Bialer, director, ecosystem, Trolltech.

"We believe that Linux in the mobile space is gaining significant momentum and Jataayu is committed to making available its applications on Trolltech's Qtopia platform. A pre-integrated solution which offers complete browsing and messaging capability will enable Trolltech's customers to reduce the time to build and market Linux-based devices," said Raj Kesarimall, head, mobile devices business unit, Jataayu.

Jataayu can not only enable faster delivery to market, but also ensure that customers have the flexibility to meet specific requirements of leading operators globally and specific customisation which vendors may need to differentiate their handsets and provide better user experience.
