The HelloSoft VoIP software client can now be integrated with Aricent’s Service Continuity Server allowing mobile devices to switch between wireless and wireline networks, so a single personal mobile device can be used in the home, the office or on the road across circuit switched (GSM, 3GPP) and packet switched (IMS, pre-IMS VoIP) networks. The move follows completion of interoperability testing between HelloSoft’s VoIP software client and Aricent’s Service Continuity Server, SCS2100L.

The collaboration will enable fixed-mobile convergence solutions to operate on a variety of dual-mode and multi-mode handset devices. The Hellosoft VoIP software client is now available on handsets such HTC DoPod 818 pro, Qtek S200 and Samsung SPH-M4500, and will provide support for upcoming next-generation handsets.
“HelloSoft’s proven VoIP solutions combined with Aricent’s powerful Service Continuity Server open up a variety of new connectivity options for service providers,” said Sajal Gupta, head, business unit, products, Aricent. “We’re excited to be working with HelloSoft to enable a seamless user experience between wireless and wireline devices.”
