Of the 200 short-listed companies from across the globe, 41 Indian companies were listed as finalists and out of which 11 companies were named as winners.

Red Herring has recognised TELiBrahma Convergent Communications Pvt Ltd, the Bengaluru-based mobile solutions company, as one of the Best Startups in the world at Red Herring Global 100 Awards 2007. The award recognises the company's achievements in innovation, management, financial performance, global strategy and ecosystem integration.

“Innovation will never go unnoticed, and we have been working on innovation from the time TELiBrahma was started in the year 2004. We are happy to be one amongst the 11 Indian companies who are named winners,” said Narasimha Suresh, chief executive officer, TELiBrahma Convergent Communications.
"After a rigorous evaluation process, we’re very happy with winners we selected,” said Joel Dreyfuss, editor-in-chief, Red Herring. “There was a large pool to choose from and we’re impressed by the caliber an innovative talent bursting from world’s business and technology sector.”
TELiBrahma introduced the concept of Bluetooth-based interactive solutions/services in India and is said to have converted many of the metropolitan locations into Bluetooth hotspots.
