EMC India Ropes In Sundar Balasubramanian

Appoints Sundar as general manager at the EMC India Center of Excellence.

EMC Data Storage Services India, a fully owned subsidiary of EMC Corporation, has named Sundar Balasubramanian as general manager, strategy and business productivity at the EMC India Center of Excellence (CoE), EMC’s largest R&D centre outside of North America. Based out of Bengaluru, Sundar will be responsible for incubating and growing new products and solutions in high-growth markets such as India and will play a strategic role in developing the CoE’s product management capabilities for global markets.
In his new role, Sundar will report to Sarv Saravanan, vice president and managing director, EMC India CoE.

Sundar will also oversee image building of the CoE, corporate social responsibility initiatives, outreach programmes with universities and influencers, and will lead partner relationships for CoE-led initiatives.
Prior to joining EMC, Sundar was at Microsoft India where he was director of Education and Employability for the Emerging Market Group. Sundar is a mechanical engineer from IIT Mumbai and an MBA from IIM, Calcutta.
Welcoming Sundar onboard, Sarv Saravanan quipped, “The EMC India Center of Excellence is at an inflection point today.
