ideacts innovations has launched 'CLINCK' -- an internet media platform which is targeted at the shared Internet access space. CLINCK is targeted towards cyber cafés which is the access point for 36 per cent of India's Internet users. CLINCK delivers an improved Web experience for cyber café users and provides an efficient medium to display advertisements in an interactive format allowing advertisers and marketers to reach out to a cyber café users, the company quipped.

CLINCK is an Active Desktop Application that provides entertainment, information and utility for the user. It features system shortcuts for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Web Search, Yahoo Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger Shortcut and interactive advertisements. CLINCK has already showcased over 75 brand campaigns for advertisers like Cadbury, Perfetti, Naukri, MakeMyTrip, Dell, Yahoo, Guruji, Radio Mirchi, Lenovo, eBay, etc.
"It has been our vision to make the Internet experience better with new software technologies which are more effective and useful for our end users. CLINCK will enable us to offer to a broader set of advertisers, an innovative platform to reach the hitherto, highly fragmented Internet café space," said Rudrajeet Desai, co-founder and chief executive officer, ideacts innovations.
Currently operational in eight cities -- Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahemdabad, Chandigarh, Pune and Bengaluru, ideacts aims to target B and C tier cities as well in 2009.
The company has also received $5 million from its first round of funding from Sequoia Capital. With this investment, R Ramaraj, senior advisor, Sequoia Capital India and Mohit Bhatnagar, operating partner, Sequoia Capital India, on ideacts' board of directors.
