Saturday, September 27, 2008:
Germany-based BLUE LION mobile GmbH has officially launched its services in India for its product 'qeep' -- a social networking software developed on Java for mobile phones. qeep can be downloaded for free and installed on mobile phones enabling users to stay in contact with their friends from any place at any time. Private messaging, photo-blogging, live multi-player gaming and sound attacks are some of the features offered by qeep to entertain its users.

In a joint statement, the two founders and developers of qeep, Cornelius Rost and Christian Schulte, said, "We are very happy to officially start our services in India. Already, India contributes to 20 per cent of the 300,000 members in qeep. We are confident that in the next three months, the percentage will rise significantly. The whole essence of qeep is to build a global community of like-minded people who can be in touch 24x7."
qeepers can send invites to people they want to be friends with or can just 'nudge' (more qeep lingo) them or send a QMS. Not the usual SMS, the QMS is new and unlimited; it's simple to use and is free of charge. Thus, qeep gives users the opportunity to make new friends all around the world and connect for free with them.
qeep can be downloaded free of cost from http://www.qeep.net or via the WAP portal http://wap.qeep.net and installed on mobile phones and smart phones. Users need to install and run the application on their mobile devices and log-in into the qeep network. qeep has no subscription or fee associated with it.
