Artesian Names Alex Cable As VP, Sales

Artesian Solutions, a provider of Web-based market intelligence and surveillance software, has appointed Alex Cable as vice president of sales. Cable, beleived to be a veteran in the field of competitive intelligence and analytics, has a 20-plus-year history in building and driving sales organisations in the software sector. Her main responsibilities at Artesian will be to ensure a better use of sales intelligence to create further sales lead generation and to manage and maintain current client relationships.

On the appointment, Andrew Yates, CEO, Artesian, said, “We are delighted Alex has joined Artesian. She brings the combination of successful Enterprise sales and experience of building low cost telephone and Web-based sales channels, which will be critical as we cost effectively scale our business in 2009 and beyond.”

Cable’s experience also includes a series of leadership roles and start-ups, including Actuate Corporation, Cognos, Protek and Visual Numerics. Most recently, Alex was responsible for building Beaconforce, a company which provides a full-range of business acceleration services in the area of software and technology business development.
