Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has launched a third-person shooter game -- Resistance: Retribution -- for PSP (PlayStation Portable) players. Resistance: Retribution features all the thrills and suspense expected of a Resistance title; with new enemies and weapons, eight-player multiplayer play with five game modes - and an advanced targeting system.
Set between the story lines of Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2, Resistance: Retribution takes players to the heart of Western Europe where we meet a new hero: James Grayson.

A former British Marine who was forced to kill his own brother inside a Chimeran conversion centre, Grayson is on a mission for revenge. Learning that the Chimera in Western Europe have evolved a terrifying new method of converting humans, Grayson joins the Maquis – the European resistance – to take part in Operation Overstrike and the wider war to rid the continent of the Chimera. Here, he discovers brand-new enemies including the human-turned-savage Cloven.
The title has a special feature that allows Resistance 2 owners to 'infect' and unlock new content within the PSP game -- and play it through their Playstation 3 (PS3). Infected Mode allows owners of both Resistance: Retribution on PSP and Resistance 2 on PS3 to infect Retribution with new character abilities, weapons, intelligence and an additional storyline. You can then take Resistance: Retribution to the big screen and play it on PS3. Connect your PSP to Resistance 2 on your PS3 with a USB cable and select 'Infect your PSP'. Meanwhile, the PSP Plus function allows you to control Grayson with a DUALSHOCK Wireless Controller. It's enabled by linking a PSP to a PS3, allowing players to play Resistance: Retribution at home or out on the road.
Resistance: Retribution is priced at Rs 1,599.
