TV5MONDE Selects Tata Communications’ LiveBroadcast Service

TV5 extends its decade-long alliance with Tata Communications to deliver Live Internet content as the channel increases its Web portfolio.

TV5MONDE, a global French language network, has selected Tata Communications’ LiveBroadcast service to distribute key events in real-time via the Internet. LiveBroadcast, a flash-based streaming service, will provide TV5 with the necessary resources and scalability to support its growing audience and support the constant flow of content. With a reach of more than 180 million households, TV5 has extended its 10-year long relationship with Tata Communications to deliver Live Internet content as the channel increases its Web portfolio.
Tata Communications’ CDN service provides access to content, including high-definition video, without delay or jitter.

With more than 300 points of presence worldwide, Tata Communications claims to offer the first truly global CDN service on a single ASN global IP network. Through the LiveBroadcast offering, Tata Communications will provide an end-to-end solution that will replicate and distribute content, within a two- to four-second delay, using the company’s extensive tier-1 IP backbone.
