Saturday, June 06, 2009 Dream11 Gaming Pvt Ltd has launched Dream11.com which, as the company puts it, offers the world's first graphical fantasy cricket game. With the upcoming T20 World Cup, Dream11.com offers cricket enthusiasts an opportunity to create their Dream11 by selecting their favourite cricketers from across the world and earn points depending on how those cricketers perform in real life matches.

While Dream11 users compete with each other for the top spot on the leaderboard, features like live scores, news updates, player profiles, statistics and standings assist them in managing their virtual teams. On Dream11.com, users can challenge competitors as well as connect with friends over cricket using the Dream11 Web Messenger, scraps and other community features. The widget-based Web 2.0 portal will soon offer personalisation tools which will enable them to customise content on their home pages.

Commenting on the idea behind Dream11.com, Harsh Jain, founder and chairman and managing director, said, "Dream11.com was conceptualised to provide users with an exceptional fantasy cricket experience. Fantasy Sports is a huge market globally and considering the packed upcoming cricket calendar, we believe that the time is just right for Indian audiences to connect with fantasy cricket. We assure our users of the best ever fantasy cricket interface and pledge our commitment to constantly innovate in this category."

i dont think playing it graphically adds any value to fantasy cricket…. yahoo has offered this for ages….. so this is not a new concept. try traditional fantasy cricket sites like cricinfo,IFL, playing11.com, in.com or cricket.com
