Siemens PLM Software Gets New India Head

Suman Bose named as vice president and managing director for the company's India operations.

Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division, has appointed Suman Bose as vice president and managing director for its India operations. In this role, Bose is responsible for increasing Siemens PLM Software’s market share and extending its position in India’s PLM field.
“India is a strategically important market for Siemens PLM Software in terms of our extensive market presence and growth opportunities,” said Hans Kurt Lubberstedt, senior vice president, Asia Pacific, Siemens PLM Software.

“As we strive hard to further our leadership position, Suman is a great fit because he brings rich industry experience and knowledge of sales, services, business development and a strong understanding of strategy formulation and execution. We look forward to Suman’s planning and implementing new initiatives to address the immense potential that Indian market bears for us.”
Bose added, “India is emerging as a global hub for innovation, as is evident from increased R&D investments by Indian companies and captive R&D centres being established by most global majors. Bose earned a degree in engineering from University of Roorkee and has a post-graduate degree in business management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has many years of experience in the overall industry and specifically in the PLM domain across the Asia Pacific region.
