Thursday, July 02, 2009:
Mobile entertainment company Nazara Technologies has signed an agreement with Yahoo! to exclusively power Yahoo! oneSearch, search designed just for mobile users. According to the agreement, Yahoo! oneSearch will be powered by Nazara Technologies to make it possible for users to search and download content like ringtones, games, images, animation and value packs, on their device.
oneSearch understands the type of search being done and optimises the results accordingly. Yahoo! oneSearch is specifically designed for the needs of a mobile user, intuitively returning results directly in the first screen.

|
oneSearch understands the intent and remembers the location, giving answers, tailored to where you are. It gives search results on one page — conveniently grouped into meaningful categories, removing the need for consumers to navigate through thousands of links to find the information they want.
Nazara’s partners in India includes Airtel, Spice, Idea, Vodafone, BPL, Tata Indicom, Reliance India Mobile and Cellebrum.
Talking about the tie-up, Nitish Mittersain, CEO, Nazara Technologies, said, “Our tie-up with Yahoo! is first of its kind in India. Search engine like oneSearch, which is specially designed for mobile phone is a step forward in technological advancement, and we are upbeat about bringing oneSearch to India with Yahoo!. oneSearch will enhance consumer’s mobile Internet experience and offer consumers the Internet services that they know from the PC (i.e. Yahoo! Mail, downloads, etc.). oneSearch will give the best of the Internet and the mobile Web — delivering rich content in the way that works best for customers.
