To drive its APAC focus, V Mathivanan (Mathi), has been appointed president, APAC and will lead this business from Singapore, where Patni has recently established its new regional headquarters.
Deepak Khosla who was earlier head of APAC will now lead the SAARC region.
Brian Stones continues to head its EMEA operations.
Commenting on the new appointments, Jeya Kumar, CEO, Patni, said, “Our overriding focus has been to identify growth areas and then ensure that these are followed through with the right management support. These appointments are part of that promise and a reinforced regional structure will see this vision through to fruition.”
Naresh K. Lakhanpal has over 23 years of business experience including operations, sales, engineering, product development and strategy. Naresh was with Deloitte & Touche as global practice director, technology, media and telecommunications practice, CEO of Navigational Sciences and has held senior management positions with Tandem Computers and Ericsson.
To tap the growing opportunity in Asia Pacific, Patni has divided the region into APAC and SAARC. Asia Pacific is expected to contribute 15 per cent of global sales by 2012 and the split is aimed at maximising the opportunity through a concerted focus in the regions. Patni’s APAC operations will be headquartered in Singapore and the SAARC operations from India.
V Mathivanan (Mathi) comes with over 30 years of experience specialising in IT with companies such as Singapore Network Services (SNS) and CrimsonLogic. Mathi served as managing director of Singapore Network Services (SNS) and transformed the Singapore-based EDI company into CrimsonLogic, a global IT solutions and services provider expanding into operations in the Americas, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
The SAARC region will function independently with a growing focus on India. Patni is bullish about its India growth and plans to strengthen its India presence with a focus on the telecom, insurance, manufacturing and e-governance.
Patni also recently expanded its operations in EMEA with the establishment of a new headquarters in London as well as key top-level appointments in Continental Europe.
