CMAI and INFOCOM will host the National Telecom Awards 2010 on 17 May 2010 at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi. Scheduled on the occasion of World Telecom Day, the awards aims to identify and recognise outstanding contributions to the ICT sector for building a National Telecom Network and thus providing an effective means of communications.

The event is expected to be attended by over 700 delegates and is being branded as the mother of all telecom events in India organised till now. The event is being held with support of telecom, IT hardware, Internet and operators association in India and international associations.
Awards would be presented by A Raja, minister of communications and IT and Karya Munda, deputy speaker, Lok Sabha. Dr J.S. Sarma, chairman, TRAI and P.J. Thomas, secretary, DOT would also grace the occasion. The awards gala dinner will be held in conjunction with the State IT Secretary’s National Round Table Conference to be addressed by Jyotiraditya Scindia, minister of state for commerce and industries.
Last date for sending in the nominations is 31 March 2010.
