There's a gory new game that can be downloaded through itunes and which has upset many parents. Called Broken Bottle 2, it pretends that users are in a fight with a variety of broken bottles which become stained with blood when used in the mobile phone game.

Uses can utilise the iPhone's motion sensors, break the virtual bottle and turn it into a jagged weapon with a quick motion of a wrist. The game eggs on users to "Swing to slash! Thrust to stab!" It is the sequel to an early version called Broken Bottle, reports the Telegraph. One reviewer wrote that the updated game "brings you more blood and a bigger variety of breaks to the bottle".
But parents are angry. Andrew Lancaster, a father of two from Rochdale, told The Sun: "It's totally sick. I spotted it after my seven-year-old daughter downloaded Connect 4."
