IT major Infosys is planning to step up its hiring to adjust to expected revenue growth and increased attrition. Out of the 36,000 people it plans to hire for the current fiscal (up from its earlier projection of 30,000), Infosys will take 15,000 freshers and 21,000 laterals, 10,000 of whom will be for the BPO arm of the company. In addition, the company will increase its hiring outside India as well; nearly 2,500 people are likely to join the company overseas this year, says The Hindu Business Line.
