Ohio LinuxFest is going to be held in Ohio, Canada from 10 to 12 September 2010 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Making Linux and Windows play nice together isn't easy, but it's essential to the continued growth of Linux in the enterprise. Likewise engineer Michael Szymczak will be discussing that topic at this year’s event.

The Ohio LinuxFest is a grassroots conference for the GNU/Linux/Open Source Software/Free Software community that started in 2003 as a large inter-LUG (Linux User Group) meeting and has grown steadily since. It is a place for the community to gather and share information about Linux and open source software.
The Ohio LinuxFest welcomes people from all 50 states and international participants.
Likewise is a Gold Sponsor of Ohio LinuxFest, helping to fund the event and keep it free for attendees. The company will also be exhibiting at Ohio LinuxFest and discussing Likewise Open, Likewise Enterprise and Likewise CIFS at the event.
“Specifically, I'm going to cover how to use open source tools to authenticate against Microsoft Active Directory (AD) so that Linux systems can work as peers in a mixed network,” said Szymczak. “I'll talk about the various open source tools that are available, and what the pros and cons are of each.”
