IBM Software Group will host a two-day event, Innovate 2011, on 9 and 10 August 2011 at Leela Palace Bangalore, an event for Rational. Rational Software provides a software development platform that improves the speed, quality and predictability of software projects, according to the company.
On the backdrop of the main event, Innovate will also hold its Business Partner Development Day along with a Developer Rock Challenge Contest. Innovate is part of the Rational Software Conference, which is one of the largest middleware conferences in India. The theme for this year’s Innovate is Software, Everyware.

With over 7 tracks and close to 100 sessions, this is said to be a first-of-its-kind event of this scale from IBM on Rational, targeting over 1000 practioners, managers and executives. The day will bring to focus experts and client cases studies from across the world, with keynotes by eminent industry thought leaders, and interactive sessions with IBM executives.
Innovate recognises, celebrates and enables the development and delivery of software-–not only as a key accelerator for growth, but also as the defining competitive differentiator. And since Software is Everyware-–like the invisible thread weaving our world together-–it has never been more critical. The event will bring to light new technology solutions that drive a higher level of integration across the lifecycle and collaboration across stakeholders in development, operations and business.
As part of Innovate 2011, the Business Partner Development day will be held on 9 August 2011 announcing Rational India’s flexible licensing models, current business partner engagements, and a note on the competitive business partners who have joined Rational in 2011. On the lighter side, the event will also highlight the Developer Rock Challenge. This is a chance to explore corporate musical talents on a technology stage.
