Advanced Defense Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ADCF), announced today that as ADTI's Seek and Avoid technology moves forward with integration into its UAV - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Drone system, it sees some of the first commercial applications for border security. Current FAA rules restrict flights of UAVs to no higher than 400 feet, and away from airports and air traffic. Borders in remote areas are in critical need of security solutions while also offering the optimum testing environment for commercially viable drone applications.

ADTI anticipates the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) could potentially open up domestic airspace for commercial UAV and Drone operations in the future. More advanced communications and data capacity including development of detection and collision avoidance technology could play an important role in removing airspace restrictions making commercial applications viable markets for UAV and Drone systems developers.

Tahim, President and CEO of Advanced Defense Technologies, Inc. stated, "Unmanned aircraft systems including UAVs and drones are treated by the FAA as experimental, to conduct research and pilot training, but not for use commercially. Our technology goal is to provide the first complete drone system offering the key safety and efficiency capabilities that will prompt the FAA to come up with a comprehensive integration plan for commercial drone applications. The natural evolution of this technology will extend into the homeland and border security applications."
