Attitude Daksha To Go Official In May; Pre-Book Now!: The low-cost educational devices seem to be the next big thing in the emerging tablet market in India. There have been a slew of new tablets launched this year. To name a few, Wishtel Era, HCL MyEdu Tab, Micromax Funbook,DataWind UbiSlate tablets and many more have already jumped on the educational tablet bandwagon in India. Now, the latest one to join is the new Attitude Daksha tablet. Developed by the Telmoco Development Labs Pvt Ltd, a technology startup company based in Kerala’s IT hub Technopark, the Attitude Daksha is priced at Rs 5,399 to compete with the growing fleet of budget educational tablets in India. You Can Now Book Karbonn's Smart Tab 1 Online!: Although Karbonn has yet not officially announced the availability of its first Android tablet, 'Smart Tab 1' in the market, the tab is available for booking online. The company has started taking pre-orders for its new low cost Smart Tab 1 on its website. As of now, the company is tight lipped about the exact availability of the tablet. Microsoft's Open-Source Subsidiary Starts Delivering: It has not been long since Microsoft announced its open source subsidiary and the company has started delivering too. Here comes the first deliverable from Microsoft's open source subsidiary called Redis On Windows. The company has announced the release of an updated version of Redis on Windows. Redis, a VMWare sponsored project is an open-source, in-memory, networked, key-value data store with optional durability. Redis is written on ANSI C. Vivaldi Linux Tablet Almost Ready For Shipping: Earlier this year Linux enthusiasts were super elated with the news of an all open tablet in the making. To add to their delight, few more details were revealed of the device this week. When the tablet made news in the beginning, it was called Spark but now it has been renamed as Vivaldi. Reports suggest that the tablet is almost ready for production and shipping. Originally, the tablet was supposed to have 512 MB RAM but it has now been increased to 1GB. MIT, Harvard University Join Hands To Offer Free Courses: MIT and Harvard Universities have come together to introduce the edX initiative, with which the two premier educational institutions will offer free of cost education to students all over the world! It is a non-profit initiative. Anant Agrawal, the president of the edX initiative terms this initiative as the 'the single best change in education since the invention of the printing press'. edX will be an independent organisation. edX will build on the MITx platform. Meet AISHA, India's Answer To Apple's SIRI: Micromax launched Superfone A50 Ninja last week at a price tag of Rs 4,999. It is an affordable smartphone running Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system powered by a 650 MHz processor. It sports a 7.9-cm multi-touch capacitive screen and is a dual SIM phone. Apart from the regular features, the Superfone A50 Ninja comes with an extra-ordinary artificial intelligence speech handset assistant (AISHA).
