Tuesday, June 26, 2012 After the launch of Wammy 7 tablet, Wickedleak has brought another tablet in the market. This time it's the Wammy ICS Plus tablet that comes with phone calling feature via a SIM card. The tablet includes HSPA+ 3G network support that gives up to 7.2 Mbps upload–download speeds, which are touted to make the Web experience fast.

Speaking about the products' development, Aditya Mehta, media expert, Wickedleak said, “After the successful launch of The Wammy ICS tablet (priced at Rs 5249), we decided to work on the feedback from customers and the industry, which suggested that due to poor aesthetic look of 3G dongle, lack of know-how with respect to Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspots in India, many users prefer built in 3G. So we decided to work and develop the Wammy Plus 3G tablet. We also added a phone calling feature so now it's a phone and a tablet and comes bundled with added features such as dual camera, navigation and SMS.”

The Wammy ICS Plus tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz A10 processor, has 512 MB RAM and runs Android ICS. It sports a 17.74-cm (7-inch) screen and has dual-cameras, Wi-Fi. The tablet is priced at Rs 11,499 which makes it a little expensive bet, given many players in the tablet market who have entered with an under 10K price. “It should be noted that we are the first and cheapest ICS built-in 3G tab in the market at just Rs 11,499. The tablet was intended to be priced at Rs 9,999 but as most parts like the chipset are manufactured outside India, costs of importing have gone up due to the weak Rupee. Having said that, considering the A10 chipset quality and features of Wammy Plus, we expect users to have a great experience with it. We are all about value, which is a trade-off of quality and price,” added Aditya.

The tablet at present can be purchased online through Wickedleak.org and as per the company, the product shall be delivered in 5-7 working days. The product also comes with a 7 day money back guarantee and a 1 year warranty. "At Wickedleak, we believe in vertical integration as a strategy to offer value to consumers. We control the manufacturing to offer the highest level of quality and we intend to have the distribution in place as this reduces the Middlemen and thereby keeping final price low."
