Looks like the Android community couldn't just wait! Jelly Bean was launched yesterday and one can easily make out the sky-high euphoria with numerous Galaxy Nexus devices flashing the day old Android OS. The Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners have every reason to celebrate. The update originally released for 'takju' developer/Google Play Galaxy Nexus, was later revamped into a ClockWork flashable file for 4G LTE by the RootzWiki developers. If you are a GSM Galaxy Nexus owner, go on reading the post below.

Here we tell you the 'Whats' and 'Hows' of getting the Jellies for your device. Well, to begin with, you must know that while updating your device with the new OS, you might break your device due to the constantly updating information. Therefore, we advise you to refer to the original source before flashing anything on your device. If you happen to owe a GSM Galaxy Nexus phone, you can easily flash a couple of files in ClockWork Mod.
The first method says that an actual ROM file, a root fix and a ClockWork flashable radio can be flashed together, provided you have a fully rooted stock Galaxy Nexus set to take on your chosen GSM network. Problems with the build are found to be minimal, other minor adjustments can be made when the full-fledged Jelly Bean update is available in mid-July.
The second GSM method goes like this: - Download the zip file of your choice from the XDA thread (or the online kitchen) and copy to your the internal sd card (/sdcard/) - Restart your device in recovery mode - PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU - Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to the internal sd card!
Well, these are two simple methods you can execute to get the Jelly Bean flavour on your Nexus device, but if you don't feel like messing around, then you can wait for the update to flow in mid-July. CDMA users might have to wait more but surely it will be worth waiting. Isn't it?
