Thursday, July 05, 2012:
Telit Wireless Solutions (AIM: TCM), a global leader in machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless technology, today announced the opening of a new office in Melbourne, Victoria to serve the growing M2M markets in Australia, New Zealand and the Oceanic region which includes Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.

The office will be managed by Marcos Kinzkowski, Telit’s vice president of sales for the region. Kinzkowski previously served as Telit's Latin America vice president of sales where he led a team that firmly established the company’s presence in Brazil over the past several years.
“Australia´s M2M market is similar in size to Brazil’s but a key difference is Australia has more integrators and developers creating products for the global market,” Kinzkowski said. “Many of these M2M companies are delivering products for the high-growth U.S. and European markets and we want to make sure they are aware of Telit’s premier wireless module technology and value-added services.”
According to a 2011 study by market research firm Telsyte, the Australian M2M mobile services market is expected to grow to 3 million connections by 2015. The study also said nearly 35% of Australian organizations are considering M2M solutions for their businesses, mostly driven by applications in energy, security, automotive and logistics.
Telit offers M2M application developers in the region an extensive portfolio of high-quality cellular, short-range RF and GNSS modules. Because its products are interchangeable across families, technologies and generations, customer development costs are kept low and design investments are protected.
In addition, Telit offers a value-added services bundle including connectivity dedicated to simplifying the deployment of M2M applications. The company is recognized for its unmatched customer support and premier design-in expertise throughout the development process as well.
“There are tremendous growth opportunities for Telit and M2M in the Australian and Oceania region,” said Dominikus Hierl, chief marketing officer at Telit Wireless Solutions. “By establishing a presence in Melbourne, we can provide the highest quality service to regional customers and meet our business goals through Marcos's proven leadership." The new office is located at 3/2 Mareeba Court, Glen Waverley, VIC 3150 Melbourne, Australia. Telit will be looking to hire engineers, sales personnel and other staff as the company builds its market presence in the region. Those with inquiries may contact Mr. Kinzkowski at Marcos.Kinzkowski@telit.com.
In addition Telit recently published its customer magazine telit2market, which provides exclusive insights into the latest machine-to-machine (M2M) industry developments from around the world available at http://www.telit.com/ebook/.
