Canon Announces EOS Series Video Cameras In India

Alongside the launch of these video cameras, the company also unveiled Canon Professional Services.

To further cement its business in the country, Canon India is now entering the cinematography business. As part of the plan, the company launched three cinema EOS advanced range cameras, including the EOS C300, EOS C500 and EOS 1-DC, along with eleven new cinema EOS lenses. These cameras are targeted at Bollywood and television industry.

Commenting on the new products, Canon Inc managing director, CEO and global head - Imaging Communication Products, Masaya Maeda said, "Canon sees India as a critical market for its overall growth and is focused on deepening our relationship while staying committed to realising the untapped potential in the market."
Alongside the launch of these video cameras, the company also unveiled Canon Professional Services, which will offer membership to select media houses in Mumbai and Delhi. Alok Bharadwaj, senior vice president, Canon India said, "It is a unique service proposition to busy pro- photographers for whom any down time is a critical loss. At the start, we are issuing CPS enrollment to seven media houses for their Delhi and Mumbai photo bureaus."
