Allied Electronics, a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), was recognized by Bourns Inc. with the e-Commerce Distributor Excellence Award for 2011. Bourns, one of the more than 300 trusted brands Allied is authorized to distribute, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive sensors, circuit protection solutions, magnetic products, microelectronic modules, precision potentiometers, panel controls, encoders and resistive products. The award was given to Allied Electronics for the highest percentage growth from 2010 to 2011.

"Allied outpaced all other Bourns e-Commerce distributors in 2011 by achieving highest point of sale growth for Bourns."
The award, presented to Allied at the EDS Show in Las Vegas, Nev., May 7-10, 2012, was accepted by several Allied team members.
