Sony had earlier launched an Android powered walkman, which garnered huge interest. Taking cue from its success, the company has announced another Android-powered walkman, named F800. The walkman will be available in three storage capacities- 8GB, 16GB and 32GB.

The new walkman runs Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich, and comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, 8.9-cm (3.5-inch) display and support for Google Play. Sony is touting it as a device that will offer ‘an extreme on-the-go entertainment experience’. The Web-enabled walkman offers a range of pre-installed apps, from e-mail to maps and media gallery.
Users can also connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and download more from an ever-growing choice on Google Play. The display is 8.9-cm (3.5-inch) multi-touch screen, along with plenty of processing power for smooth, speedy responses. The speakers are bass powered by S-Master MX Digital Amplifier and five Clear Audio technologies. It has an in-built xLOUD speaker system that cuts distortion and unpleasant clipping for clearer listening.
There is no news on the pricing yet so let’s wait and watch when it hits the stores.
