The tablet runs on the latest Ice-cream Sandwich 4.0 OS and is powered with 1 GHz processor. The model features five-point touch capacitive screen with a support flash of 11.1. This gives the user a smooth zoom-in and zoom-out experience. Supporting a DDRIII RAM of 512MB, the tablet gives you an option of expanding the memory upto 32GB via flash drives. Sporting 3G dongle support via a USB and front facing camera for easy video chatting via skype, the tablet comes with a host of multimedia functionality such as audio support, video support, preloaded games (Angry Birds Fruit Ninja etc), connecting though GPRS and Wi-Fi, access to social networking sites from Intex Zone, etc.

The tablet is equipped with Office Suite for viewing and editing of documents without worrying about short battery life. With media usage the back-up of i-Buddy is 3 hours. One of the notable features in the tablet is its Team viewer which allows you to control your PC remotely. Some of the other features are Google voice search, multi-language, ebook reader, dictionary, calculator, calendar and few free android applications.

This light-weight 316 gms tablet is available in a classy champagne color and comes with 12 months warranty and is available with 15,000 dealers and 100 distributors. It can also be bought from any of the 60 exclusive Intex retail stores- Intex Squares.

Priced at Rs 6,490, Intex has bundled i-Buddy with an exclusive leather cover with attached keyboard. The MRP of this accessory is Rs 2590, which is being provided to i-Buddy consumers at no extra cost. Commenting on the offer, Sanjay Kumar, general manager - Mobile Business, Intex Technologies said, "Being India's most literate and evolved region, the southern states hold a very important position in our growth strategy especially for the mobility business. South is one of the largest markets for technology products with 26 per cent of India's mobiles getting sold in South India. It is definitely a potential market for Intex as well. We aim to grow multifold in the southern states. The brisk economic growth in these states, contemporary lifestyles and buying behavior amongst the youth makes it an appropriate destination for offering Intex' latest android tablet - the i-Buddy - which is the slimmest 7" tablet in India."

The tablet will first be launched in Tamil Nadu, followed by other states of South India. This will be followed shortly by North, West and East India.
