SWIPE Telecom Intros India's First Android-Based 3D Tablet @ Rs 5,999  
It runs Google's Android 4.03 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with an A13 Cortex processor on 1.5GHZ clock speed.

Thursday, July 26, 2012 California-headquartered SWIPE Telecom has introduced a range of three tablet devices in India today. The tablets vary in the price range of Rs 5,999 to Rs 9,999.

Out of the three tablets launched, 3D LIFE looks the most interesting offering. The company claims that it is India’s first 3D Tablet PC. Speaking to EFYTimes.com, Shripal Gandhi, founder and chief executive officer, SWIPE Telecom, said, “3D LIFE is targeted towards kids and youth as it provides a wonderful experience of 3D gaming and 3D videos. The tablet is way above its competitors for the sheer experience that it provides.”

The tablets sports a 17.8-cm (7-inch) TFT five point touch capacitive screen packing 800X480 pixels. It runs Google's Android 4.03 Ice Cream Sandwich and an A13 Cortex processor on 1.5GHZ clock speed. It comes packed with 4GB internal memory and a 512 MB DD RAM. The tablet can play videos for 5-6 hours at stretch offers a large battery life with a 3400 mAH battery. 3D LIFE also boasts of a 2MP front camera that supports video calling and it is priced at Rs 5,999. The tablet was launched by Bollywood actress Malaika Arora Khan.

Yet another device launched was SWIPE Telecom tabX78 Float targeted towards executives and business professionals. The company claims that it is India's slimmest and lightest tablet which weighs 295 grams with 8.5 mm thickness. The tablet offers support for Hindi language.

The third tablet, rather phablet, launched was tabX74S– HALO series. It is a 17.8-cm (7-inch) smartphone tablet that offers SIM functionality for calling and browsing Internet, a touch screen with 5-point touch that runs on Android 4.03 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), a 1 GB DDR III RAM, 4 GB inbuilt memorywith front and back shooters and Bluetooth. The tablet is priced at Rs 8,999.

Commenting on the growing tablet market in India, Gandhi said, “India is fast approaching the 1 million per annum tablet sales with current size estimated at $ 400 million (Rs. 2200 crore). The market for tablets is poised to explode to the extent that 1 million tablets that got sold in a year will be sold every month in the next 3-5 years.” The tablets are available on online stores such as Flipkart, Snapdeal, eBay and Ncarry. The devices will be available in over 25000 retail outlets across India soon. The company will also provide 600+ service centers network across India will provide round-the-clock call center support for general and technical enquiry.

The X78 float has a 3000 mAH battery with a standby time of 48 hours how cool is that It also has a browsing time of 6-8 hours. Apart from that it also comes with a high quality video playback time of 4-6 hours.
