Blackberry maker Research in Motion (RIM) would unveil its next BlackBerry 10 (BB 10) operating system along with BB 10 devices on 30 January 2013. So, for all BlackBerry fans out there, the company's regional senior product manager, Claudio Roselli showcased the new operating system on a video for Muy Computer. RIM after facing a tough financial crunch, is expecting its upcoming BlackBerry 10 operating system and devices to bail them out. But according to analyst, James Faucette of Pacific Crest Securities, BlackBerry 10 will fail or die on arrival. "We believe BB10 is likely to be DOA," said Faucette in a Blommberg report. He also advised shareholders to pack up while they still can. "We expect the new OS to be met with a lukewarm response at best and ultimately likely to fail," added Faucette in the report.
Earlier we reported that the Canadian phonemaker has exceeded its monthly sales figures with 85,000 units selling in the month of October. This unexpected surge has been possible because of company's strategy to offload handset stock loaded with the older operating system to stockists and retailers. The phone maker witnessed sales jumped by around 25 per cent during October, as per the reports.
BlackBerry has been losing market share to rival phones based on Google's Android. Between November 2011 and June 2012, RIM's market share fell from 18 per cent to 12 per cent in India, according to data from leading research firm.
