Lava, the Indian smartphone maker has quietly unveiled its third Android smartphone under its XOLO sub-brand in the country. This device joins the queue of XOLO X900 and XOLO A700.
Earlier, we had reported that the company is expected to launch its mid-priced affordable Android handset sometime in December and looks like Lava has gone by its promise. The XOLO A800 sports a 11.4-cm (4.5-inch) qHD IPS display and runs Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. The device is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and 512 MB RAM. The smartphone comes with 8 MP rear camera, 0.3 MP front shooter. The device has an internal storage of 4 GB, which is expandable via microSD card. The device is loaded with a 1,600 mAh battery. The Lava Xolo A800 has been conveniently priced at Rs 11,999 and is available on Flipkart.

Lava Xolo A800 will compete with the likes of Micromax, iBall, Spice, Intex and Zync. The company had recently unveiled its Xolo A700 in the country, which is priced at Rs 9,999. Lava's Intel powered devices have not created much of an impact and majorly the blame has been laid upon the overall dynamics of the device, which is loaded with Intel's Atom processor.
